    The explanation of the apparent image of an underwater object is a topic which seems simple but is often confusing and mistaken.The systematic study and simulations have been made on this problem.The results have corrected some popular mistakes about this matter,and indicated that generally the apparent position,size and shape of the image of an underwater object will change under different conditions,and this change is often beyond one's intuitional expectation.This work has also provided an excellent example for developing the learners' ability of creative thinking and solving practical problems.

    The ground state phase transition from the paramagnetic state to the ferromagnetic state is studied via the mean-field approach both in electron gas with long range Coulomb interaction and atom gas with short range interaction.The properties of phase transition are obtained and the differences between the two models are compared.

    The mechanical energy conservation in the two independent descending and ascending processes for a YO-YO or a rotating-wheel pendulum is pointed out,but it is false to consider that the mechanical energy stays the same at the turning point of its lowest position,because of ignoring the energy loss caused by system jump effect.This mistake has long been existed in teaching,textbooks and all kinds of other books,worthy of being brought to the forefront.

    The one-dimensional classical forced oscillator is quantized.The exact solution of time evolution operator of the system is obtained.The quasi-probability distribution function of phase space is used to investigate the quantum characteristics of one-dimensional forced oscillator.The results show that the Wigner function is two-dimensional Gaussian wave packet from the initial vacuum state.The central coordinate and momentum of the Gaussian wave packet move in the same manner as one-dimensional classical harmonic oscillator.The amplitude and phase of the centre of the wave packet are modulated by the force.

    The formed electric fleld of a line-charged and a grounding half infinite conductor is calculated by using the methods of mirror and conformal mapping on the coordinate system of the complex number,and the distributions of electric potential and field intensity are given.In further,the equations of electric field line and equipotential line are also obtained.The maps of electric potential and equipotential lines are plotted by using the software MATLAB.

    A demonstration device of solar magnetic suspension is introduced by using the electro-magnetic theory,mechanical and electronic technologies.This instrument is powered by solar energy,designed with integrated linear Hall sensor to probe the suspended object's displacement,and quantitatively displays automatic adjustment of the electromagnet's magnetism through digital tube voltage display circuit,which can accurately and visually demonstrate the physical phenomenon of magnetic suspension.The structure of this instrument is simple,stable performance,ease to operate,can be widely used in classroom demonstration,curriculum design and other situations,and thus we can obtain a good teaching result in practical applications.

    A fast response thermometer is designed by using a pt100 surface mounted resistor.The effect of temperature on the photoelectric parameter of a high power LED supplied by a constant current source or a constant voltage source respectively is investigated real-timely by using the thermometer,which has less measurement error and higher measurement efficiency.The experimental results show that when the LED's temperature rises,the luminous intensity of the LED increases under the constant voltage source and decreases under the constant current source,and the luminous efficiencies of the LED all decrease under the both sources.
