By using Matlab software programming, the value of eastward drift of a falling body is calculated in the condition of air resistance. In comparison with the condition of no air resistance, our result shows that air resistance decreases the value of eastward drift of a falling body, which clears up the incorrect viewpoint that air resistance increases the value of eastward drift of a falling body.

In the ellipsoidal coordinate system, the magnetizing problem of ellipsoid magnetic material in uni- form magnetic field is solved. The analytical expressions of magnetic scalar potential and magnetic field in the entire space, as well as demagnetizing factors and demagnetizing field in the material are obtained. The relation between the shape of ellipsoid material and the demagnetizing factors as well as the influence of the material susceptibility on the direction of demagnetizing field are studied. It is found that the demagnetizing factor along the longer axis of el- lipsoid is less than that along the shorter one. As the magnetizing field is along the ellipsoid axis or the material is sphere, the demagnetizing field is parallel with ( along or opposite to) the magnetizing field. For ferromagnetic ma- terial, the demagnetizing field is almost opposite to the magnetizing field.

With the shift signal pro- cessing circuits and digital storage oscilloscope as the data measurement unit core, and through coordinating with the system base and the movement control unit, a number of integrating and designing experiments related to the Doppler effect can be carried out. The students' understanding to Doppler effect and it's application can be deep- ened. The conversion, transmission and processing of signals in the experiment are clear and transparent, which will help in-depth to train students' abilities in autonomous practical and observing and analyzing problems. With- out complex software programming, the experimental system is simple and every laboratory can complete it on their own production, at the same time, the experiments can realize the sharing of resources, improve the equipments' utilization with higher value of practical utility and promotion.

Physics is a course aiming to train the logic thinking ability. In physical researches, many scientists have experienced tough and effective explorations to search for scientific knowledge. In our classes, as teachers, at appropriate time we can tell the students how the scientists exploited, including their thinking methods, and experi- mental processes. In this paper we give the examples of wave-particle duality, Farady law of electromagnetic in- duction, exploration of space, to show the thinking methods and experimental processes, from which, we let the students know the scientific exploration process. It is a good way to improve their cognition, excite their study inter- ests, master correct thinking ways and scientific methods, and develop their creative abilities.

We have tried to prove and show that magnetic flelds do have put repellent force on "nonmagnetic"materials such as graphite and copper. In our experiment,we have tried several permanent arrays, and finally found a four-block permanent magnet array to produce a gradient field, and get the stable regions for levitation above the permanent magnets. We successfully make graphite to be levitated. We also use the paramagnetic solution and electromagnet to realize more obvious levitation for Al2O3 and Si.
