摘要： 11爱因斯坦与希尔伯特的合作与竞争 在广义相对论诞生前后的几个月内,爱因斯坦与希尔伯特之间既进行了合作探讨,又产生了竞争（[14,15]）.在与爱因斯坦的讨论中,希尔伯特对爱因斯坦的新理论产生了兴趣,他也开始寻找场方程的正确形式.希尔伯特不愧是数学大师,他很快赶了上来.在爱因斯坦把自己的最终论文投给杂志社的同时,希尔伯特也投了稿.

Abstract: Introduces Einstein＇s great contribution in set up general relativity. He is the first one who discovers the equivalence principle and points out that gravitation is essentially a geometrical effect of curvature of space-time. Einstein is also the first person who gives the field equation which is the fundamental equation of general relativity. The three important experiments checking general relativity proposed by him have been proven by observation. Einstein is the sole founder of the theory of general relativity.
