This article reviews and describes some of the events that occurred during the authors doctoral studies under Academician Chen Shigang from 1994 to 1997. These impressive experiences in learning, research, and daily life not only allowed the author to grow up healthily at that time, but also have long-term enlightening and guiding significance for future scientific research and education work.
