摘要

1927年,王守竞先生在《Physikalische Zeitschrift》发表论文,首次用量子力学的方法推导出两个距离较远的原子间存在着-1/R6的长程吸引势,揭示了由瞬时电偶极矩涨落导致的范德瓦尔斯相互作用机制.后续系统的研究是由F.伦敦在三年之后完成的,而且后者也引用了王守竞的工作.该研究是量子力学早期应用的重要范例,但长期因德文原文难获取、缺乏英文译本而被主流文献忽视.本文根据近期的英文译稿,将其转译成中文.值此量子力学创立百年之际,重新审视这一被低估的贡献,向如王守竞先生一样的中国物理学先驱者致敬.

Abstract

In 1927, Dr. Shou-Chin Wang published an article in Physikalische Zeitschrift, where he, for the first time, used quantum mechanical methods to derive the long-range attractive potential proportional to -1/R6 between two distant atoms. This work reveals the mechanism of van der Waals interaction arising from the instantaneous electric dipole moment fluctuations. A subsequent systematic study was completed by F. London three years later, who also cited Wang′s work. This research represents a significant early application of quantum mechanics. However, it has long been overlooked in literature, primarily due to the difficulty in accessing the original German text and the lack of an English translation. This article presents a Chinese translation based on a recent English version of the work. On the occasion of the centenary of the establishment of quantum mechanics, we re-examine this underestimated contribution and pay tribute to pioneering Chinese physicists like Dr. Shou-Chin Wang.
