Abstract: Using the model of two-dimensional infinite potential well, stationary Schroedinger equation is solved to find out the wave function. Based on the solution, the states of surface electrons in the quantum corral is discussed, and the computer simulation made by MATLAB 6.1 results in a good fit to data obtained experimentally.
