Abstract: Dynamics of a small ball falling down a slope with staircase profile, which includes the process that the small ball moves from the edge of a stair to the position where it begins to take off and the process that the small ball turns to pure rolling from relative sliding when it reaches the surface of next stair, is analyzed. When the collision in vertical direction is full inelastic collision, the speed and angular velocity of rolling at every step can be calculated.
