Abstract: Based on the experiment platform we designed, the angular correlation between the γ rays (1173. 3keV and 1332.5keV) from 60Ni cascade transition is measured by the NaI and LaBr3 detectors. According to the actual experiment situation, the theoretical value is modified. It is shown that the modified value and the experimental value are in agreement well, namely, the transition form we confirmed from experiment is just the actual one. It is proved that our equipment and method are effective and can be applied to analogous experiments on γ cascade transition. This experiment is helpful to get students further understanding on γ transition.
