Abstract: The four-dimensional complex tensor formulation for the electromagnetic field is obtained based on the framework of three-dimensional complex vector. The present complex tensor formulation is then generalized to the case of magnetic monopole using the double-potential formalism, and the double-potential complex-tensor Maxwell equations for both electric and magnetic charges are derived.
