Abstract: A uniform mass distributed rotating chain can take a teardrop configuration with both ends fixed at
the same point. It also can take an upside down heart like configuration with two ends fixed separately in a vertical
rod when the angular velocity and separated distance are well chosen. The experimental figures agree well with the
theoretical curves.
