Solving the problem on reflection and refraction by surface of moving medium applied with time-space diagram method

Abstract: We investigate the law of reflection and refraction along the direction of propagation of

the light ray when the light incident on the surface of moving medium at any angle using the

space-time diagram method. The effects on the direction of reflected and refracted rays from

the velocity of moving medium,angle of the surface and incidence are discussed. The general

formulas of direction and frequency shift of reflected and refracted rays are giv- en in low-speed

approximation.
