Abstract

Uncertainty，as a new concept of college physics experiment，cannot be understood and applied well by freshmen due to the lack of the basic knowledge on probability distribution. In order to reduce the difficulty of learning uncertainty，a teaching effort is paid by showing how to calculate the uncertainty of the refractive index.
