The Fechner color effect is a well - known visual phenomenon. When one sees a rotating turntable which with some black and white patterns on it such as Benham's top，one will see several other colors. The cause of its formation is still inconclusive. We analyze the phenomenon，improve the Benham's top，and make some experiments. Quantitative experiments are performed on aspects of the light source，rotational speed，stripe width and so on.
