Abstract

When a beam of laser irritates on a thick metal wire，a light ring will appear on the screen which lies vertical to the wire. In this paper，we analyze the formation mechanism of the ring，explore the influence of related parameters on the ring with computer simulation and experiments. It is shown that the proposed theory matches the experiments very well.
