In this paper，an experimental scheme to study gyroscope precession characteristics is introduced. Based on the principle of gyroscope precession，the relationship between the angular velocity and the angular velocity of the gyroscope precession is derived，and the gyroscope experimental device is fabricated based on the principle of electromagnetic induction and the characteristics of the photoresistor. At the same time，the revolution period and rotation period of the gyroscope are accurately measured，and the calculation is further calculated for the rotational inertia of the gyroscope，the calculation results obtained by the parallel axis theorem verify the correctness of the theoretical method and measurement results of the device.
