In order to respond the call，“Class-suspended but still keep learning and teaching”，given by the

Ministry of Education，taken Gansu Normal University for Nationalities as an example in this paper，some beneficial

researches are conducted on the online teaching design，procedures，assessment and effects of college physics course

under the background of COVID-19 pandemic，and thus some ideas are provided to promote the online teaching.
