From the translators perspective, this article recounts the whole process of planning and preparing the English edition of Differential Geometry and General Relativity (Volume 1) up to its publication. It recollects my interactions with Professor Liang Canbin during this period, serving as a remembrance and heartfelt tribute to the esteemed Professor Liang.
