考虑吸收、散射损耗时向列液晶电光特性的偏振测试探究

摘要: 对于厚度达几十微米以上或掺杂染料分子的向列液晶样品而言,各向异性的散射和吸收将对偏振检测结果产生显著甚至剧烈的影响,此时不考虑吸收、散射损耗的理想偏振分析模型将不再适用. 本文设计出一种更为普适的测量向列液晶指向矢取向方向的检偏测试装置,给出考虑各向异性吸收和散射时的偏振分析理论,并结合具体的实验测试给出可靠稳定的测试方案和具体的测量电致向列液晶指向矢偏转角的数据处理方法.

Abstract:  For nematic liquid crystal samples with a thickness of tens of microns or doped with rod-like dye molecules, anisotropic scattering and absorption will have a significant or even dramatic impact on polarization detection. The ideal polarization analysis model without considering absorption and scattering loss will no longer be applicable. In this paper, a more universal polarization detection system for measuring reorientational angle of nematic director is designed. A polarization analysis theory considering anisotropic absorption and scattering is given. A reliable and stable test scheme and a specific data processing method are given in combination with the practical testing.
