Abstract: Scientific documentary is one of the important methods to spread scientific knowledge. It can tell science in a lively and visualized way at multiple points of views, which is also the purpose of scientific general ed- ucational courses. In this article, we introduce some excellent astronomical documentaries, and presented our expe- rience and suggestion on how to introduce scientific documentaries in astronomical general courses by taking the course of ＂Introduction of Planetary Science＂ as an example.
