Abstract: Based on the historical data of planetary orbit, we research again the relationship between planetary orbital radius and planetary sequence. Under the guidance of the scientific methodology,we obtain Titius-Bode law by means of modern scientific computing tools step by step. We exhibit the process of data analysis and empirical formula exploration in detail. The process can be acted as a typical case to promote the innovative ability of college students.
