Measurement of the activity of 60Co radioactive source by coincident method

摘要: 利用NaI(Tl)闪烁探测器测量了60 Co的γ能谱,根据测量的1.173 MeV和1.332 MeV射线的峰面积以及它们符合峰的峰面积,得到了放射源的活度,与实际的源活度偏差为(6.64±0.40)%.说明用此种办法可以测量放射源的活度.

Abstract: The gamma energy spectrum of 60Co is measured by using NaI (T1) scintillator detector. According to the peak area of the measured 1.173MeV and 1.332MeV gamma rays as well as that of their coincident peak, the activity of radioactive source is obtained, which has a (6.64±0.40)% deviation in comparison with the real value. It is shown that this method can measure the activity of radioactive source.
