摘要： 因我曾在爱丁堡（1938—1941，1943—1945）玻恩教授处和都柏林（1941—1943，1945—1947）薛定谔教授处做过较长时间的研究工作，兹为文简述量子力学80年前的诞生过程，并说明当时学术思想的演化，同时也借此文表达对薛定谔教授和玻恩教授的怀念．

Abstract: As the author has the privilege of being associated with Born in Edinburgh during 1938--1941 and 1943--1945, and with Schroedinger in Dublin during 1941--1943 and 1945--1947, the beginning of quantum mechanics 80 years ago is described here with reminiscences, and also with an emphasis on the evolution of scientific ideas.
