Abstract: The method in angular spectrum theory to get the diffraction formula with solving the Helmhohz equation directly is introduced. The neai-field diffraction of a 15×15 array of square apertures is calculated, and the Talbot images of the periodic diffraction screen is arisen at specific distances.
