Abstract: Arkadii Benediktovich Migdal was a worldrenowned theoretical physicist. Qualitative Methods in Quantum Theory originated from his lectures on quantum mechanics. The original Russian edition was published in 1975, with the English translation published in 1977 and the Chinese translation published in 2025. The book is divided into six chapters, covering dimensional and model methods, various types of perturbation methods, quasiclassical approximations, analytical properties of physical quantities, methods in manybody problems, and qualitative methods in quantum field theory, describing the working methods employed by theoretical physicists in practical research.
