Abstract: An analysis of the resonance of flexural vibration of a ong-end-fixed steel ruler is made, which shows that there are a lot of discrete modes for its flexural vibration and when the frequency of some stirring force acting thereon is close to that of a mode,this mode will be excited at resonance.
