The roles of relativistic effect in chemistry--Memory in the centenary anniversary of the theory of relativity

Abstract

Abstract: The relativistic effect is introduced, and it affects to the electron configuration and properties of the 6th periodic elements is discussed. The chemistry of gold, in which relativistic effect plays a significant role, and the chemistry of mercury and silver have compared and illustrated.
