Abstract: The diffraction state and its probability distribution for an atom passing through a single slit, double-slit or N-slit in the gravitational field is derived using Feynman'path integral approach in the quantum mechanics. It shows that the fringe shift is dependent on the acceleration of gravity in an approximate conditions, but the fringe spacing is not dependent on it.
Key words: gravitational field, diffraction state of an atom, probability distribution
