Abstract: By exploiting the stability of quantum dot system and applying Klein inequality, we prove that, at nonzero temperature, the single-particle distribution function of this system is a non-increasing function of the single-particle energy. This result shows that the electronic properties of a quantum dot system are largely determined by its thermodynamic stability.
Key words: quantum dot system, thermodynamic stability, single-particle distribution function, nonzero temperature
