Abstract: The Doppler effect is the apparent change in the observed frequency of a source due to the relative motion between the source and the receiver. The Doppler effect is used in many different applications. To help teachers in the training of pupils the Doppler effect, a simulation system is achieved by visual basic 2010 express e- dition (VB2010) software with OpenAL and OpenGL. The simulation system optimized to create 3D positional sound and Doppler effecting use only two speakers. Further, it is more efficient modalities for learining the Doppler effect over other instructional methodologies and media. The application in Doppler effect teaching showed that the system has a good interactivity, verisimilitude and practicability.
