Abstract: By mean of the eonfoeal elliptic cylindrical coordinate, we calculate capacitance of a confocal ellip- soid-shaped capacitor and hyperbolic cylindrical capacitor, and show the general expression of capacitance for a confocal ellipsoid-shaped capacitor. It makes the calculation results of so kinds of capacitors become richer.
