Abstract: the wave functions of （nd）^3 electron configuration for LS coupling is discussed by using the second quantization from the Pauli exclusion principle, anti-symmetric wave functions for fermion and symmetry of raising operator and lowering operator. It is pointed out that the （nd）^3 electron configuration can be formed two different 2D wave functions.
