Abstract: The experimental installation which is composed of giant magnetic resistor sensor,with a potentiometer and tow piece of little magnetic steels,can be used to measure accurately a mini-displacement in physical exper- iments. It is applied to measure Young＇ s modulus and the experimental result indicates that the way of measurement with giant magnetic resistor sensor is much simpler and more precise compared with the optical lever method.
