Abstract: A novel method of measuring the magnetic permeability of ferrimagnetic materials is proposed based on Lissajous figures. Theoretically, based on Ampere circuital theorem and Faraday＇s law, the measurement system consists of oscillograph and signal generator. The system is capable of measuring the permeability of ferrimagnetic materials by using X-Y mode of oscillograph. Experiment results are shown at different frequencies of applied magnetic field.
