Abstract: We study the scattering behavior in three-body particle systems with Lennard-Jones interaction. Chaotic scattering, inelastic scattering and perfect elastic scattering are observed with the increase of the scattering energy. The underlie mechanism is correlated to the chaotic dynamics of the system.
