Abstract: Based on Kirchhoff＇ s theory, the approximate formulas of a rectangular aperture and slit is derived under paraxial approximation, and by power series expanding methods, the fundamental characteristics of the diffraction field is analyzed by the numerical calculation and numerical simulation, some results consistent with other literature and experimental results are obtained.
