The negative refractive material is receiving much attention recently because of its many peculiar features, especially the anomalous refraction, compared with the regular material. A detailed explanation of the anomalous refraction in material with a negative refractive index using the Huygens principle is presented. The differences of the design of optical devices of the negative refractive material and that of regular material are also analyzed.

On the basis of the analytical solution in an infinite square potential well of one dimension, this paper deduces 24 summation formulas of infinite series, such as ∑n=1^∞ 1/n^2、∑n=1^∞ 1/n^4 , etc. are deduced. This is constructed by using the equivalence of the two different methods in calculating the normalization constant of wave function and the mean value of energy.

Considering relativistic effect, by using quantum statistics, the radiation formulas of two types of particles, consisting of Planck black-body radiation formula, are obtained, which satisfy Bose-Einstein statistics and Fermi-Dirac statistics respectively. It is found that the radiation spectrum is not only relative to the radiation temperature of black-body, but also to the energy and the chemical potential and the kinds of particles, The radiation strength is relative to the rest mass and the energy of particles, and the degeneration factor.

Through the Lagrange's equation, the matrix equation of coupled pendulums is established, the vibration of disorderly coupled pendulums is analyzed; the vibration of disorderly coupled pendulums is studied, and by using the MAPLE9.0, the three-dimensional curve of the amplitude ratio and natural frequency is drawn following the parameter change. The conclusions are that natural frequency increases with the increase of parameter ε and β; the disorder of coupled pendulums has a mode localization phenomena, at the first-order mode localization phenomena, the amplitude ratio increases with the increase of parameter ε.
