Abstract: Based on the experiment measuring the horizontal component of geomagnetism, a more general experiment is proposed. This new experiment consists of measuring the spatial distribution of magnetic induction of Helmholtz loop, the moment of inertia and magnetic moment of the magnetic needle, So, making this experiment an innovative one for students.
