Abstract: As the Doppler shift of couple gratings is direct proportional to the velocity of the moving grating, the velocity can be measured by measuring the Doppler shift. Having analysed the uncertainty of velocity , the conclusion is that the relative uncertainty of measured velocity equals the relative error of grating constant.
