Abstract: There exits a large error in the traditional method by stretching for measuring Young' s modulus of metal, with difficulty in adjustment and worse stability. In this article, a new advanced method is implemented, and it provides better precision based on the mathematical model, which is acquired according to the digital data of laser signal from the linear array CCD and A/D. The application of new method extends the experimental knowledge, which makes the traditional experiment more vividly and abundantly and improves the students' learning ability.
