Abstract: Computer-aided instruction can be complementary to the traditional teaching. The effective combination of them can help students to understand the knowledge which is difficult.  Therefore, we stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve the teaching quality. Then, we introduce the attempts of computer-aided instruction by using two typical problems, i.e., Rutherford scattering and two  body collision, in analytical mechanics.

Key words: central force field, Rutherford scattering, two body collision, center-of-mass frame, computer-aided instruction
