Abstract: Applying the finite difference method, the numerical simulation of the surface charge density of a finite conductor stick is presented. It turns out that not only curvature radius of the conductor surface but also the shape of it and the other conductor around it have influences on its surface charge density.
Key words: finite difference method (FDM), finite conductor stick, surface charge density
