Abstract: A brandnew method for measuring the latitude of the observer＇ s location is introduced. By utilizing an ordinary digital camera, we have taken a series of photographs at two consecutive hours. The latitude of our observation station is obtained via the analysis of the data of such photographs. Finally, the measuring latitude of Shanghai China, is N. Lat. 31.3°, which is almost consistent with the standard value.
