The Fraunhofer diffraction of the phase-type complementary screen of symmetrical distribution

Abstract: In order to validate the application of the Babinet's principle in the phase-type complementary screen,the mathematical model of the phase-type complementary screens is established.From the theoretical analyses,the expressions of the transmissivity of complex amplitude of the two complementary screens are obtained.By means of the optical Fourier transform method,it is verified that the expressions of the light intensity distribution in the spectrum are the same.Through computer simulation,it is shown that the light intensity distribution rules of the Fraunhofer diffraction of the parabolic cylinder phase-type complementary screens are the same as the theoretical analyses and the diffraction of the phase-type complementary screens that the distribution rules are even functions accords with the Babinet's principle.
