The investigation of potential function in the asynchronous rotational binaries

Abstract: The Roche lobe, three Lagrangian points and the corresponding Roche potentials are calculated according to the asynchronous rotational Roche potential. The results are compared with the one which derived from the synchronous rotational Roche potential. It is found that the centrifugal force greatly reduces the gravitational acceleration at the equator. The asynchronous rotation has an obvious influence on the Roche lobe, the positions of three Lagrangian points, mass overflow from the outer Lagrangian L2 and the time of mass overflow. Therefore, it is very important significant to calculate the asynchronous rotational Roche potential in the close binaries.
