Abstract: When he was frustrated and lost his confidence of future in Cambridge, Oppenheimer met Max Born who came there to gave a lecture. Born appreciated Oppenheimer' s talent, and invited him to Gottingen. Under Born's guidance, Oppenheimer did excellent research work, soon got his doctor rate in Gottingen, and later be- came the father of atomic bomb in America. But the relation between the two was not harmonious enough. In early years, the advisor was afraid of seeing his pupil, and in late period, the pupil was full of resentment and bitterness, did not want to see the advisor again. The leaders of a institute or the advisors are worth to pay attention to the whys and wherefores in these affairs.
