Abstract: The principle of Kundt＇s tube experiments is studied. An explanation of the experimental phenomenon is given in detail,which is that besides the main standing wave mode,the first higher mode is excited. The sound field in a Kundt＇s tube is the superposing of the two standing wave modes.
