Abstract: The normal modes and phonon spectrums of an ensemble of polar molecules are discussed, which are prepared in a dipolar crystalline phase.Detailed results are presented for a one—dimensional dipolar chain trapped in harmonic trap and for a homogeneous dipolar crystal，respectively.
