It is not a sufficient equilibrium condition that the pressures are equal on both sides of a smooth adi- abatic movable piston. We consider a system consisting of ideal gas which is partitioned into two parts by an adiabatic movable piston. From the microscopic point of view, even if the two parts are with equal pressures that different temperatures, energy can still transfer from higher temperature gas to lower temperature gas through the piston vibration, which is difficult to observe in macroscopic systerm but very significant in mesoscopic system.

Based on the equivalence between momentum representation and coordinate representation, an alternative method is presented, where the momentum representation and the Feynman' s path integral are employed to calculate the propagator function of a particle in a constant force field, then the result is transformed into the coordinate representation. We present a way to solve the Feynman' s path integral, which exhibits the high value of momentum representation if the solution of one-dimensional motion of a particle in a constant force field.

Non-contact driving mode is composed of rectangular permanent magnet with a spin axes and a turning aluminum disc. Keeping the turning speed of aluminum disc in constant, and the angular speed and angular acceleration of magnet which is driven by electromagnetic induction is tested simultaneously. These are found that the angular speed has a tiny fluctuation periodically and angular acceleration vibrates between negative and positive maximum value with the same period. Starting from the viewpoint of molecular current,an analytic expression descri- bing the magnetic field distribution in space is derived from the Biot-Savart's law and principle of electromagnetic field superposition. And the angular acceleration and electromagnetic driving moment are calculated quantitatively when the permanent magnet rotates to any position. The reasons of angular speed appearing periodic tiny fluctuation and the angular acceleration vibrated between positive and negative maximum are due to the joint actions of driving moment and air damping, and this conclusion is consistent with the experimental result.

A set of concentric interference circles is formed for diffused monochromatic light illuminated a F-P etalon. Fractional orders at the centre of the interference fringes are determined by excess fraction method. The spec- trum of the light source consists of certain adjacent wavelengths, including one He line, one Ne line, and a few Hglines. Thus images of the resulting sets of interierence circles are obtained simultaneously by a digital camera at the focal plane of the imaging lens. The diameters and standard deviations are computed by the circular regression of coordinate data. The fractional orders are calculated by weighted regressions in a new quasi-linear model, and the expanded uncertainties are assessed corresponding to different wavelengths. Inducing three of the wavelengths to the process to solve the fraction orders by excess fraction method, the spacer d of the F-P etalon is calculated to be d± Ad=(3 096 977.97±1.76)nm.

By studying the operation principle and optical characteristic of TN type liquid crystal, an experi- mental metho~t of liquid crystal electrooptic modulation derived by square wave voltage signal is proposed. Using liquid crystal electrooptie effect experimental apparatus, the electrooptic curve and threshold voltage of twisted ne- matic liquid crystal (TN-LC) excited by the voltages with different frequency and wave types, are measured. The influence of the frequency and wave types on the electrooptic curve, threshold and gradient,is analyzed. On the ba- sis of these, the sine wave modulation is realized by adding 3 000 Hz square wave to TN type liquid crystal, and the result of the electrooptic modulation is investigated. This method of electrooptic modulation can be used to the audio -visual display of electric signal response property of liquid crystal materials.
