Through the Lagrange' s equation, the nonlinear vibration equation of a particle non-harmonic oscillator is established; the curves of the restoring force and potential energy varying with coordinates and phase plot are drawn. The exact solution of the period is got by using the first kind of complete elliptic integral. Using the linearization and correction methods, the approximate solutions on period and the displacement of the oscillator are solved, And the curves of the approximate solutions and exact solutions of the period varying with amplitude and the approximate solutions and the numerical solution are drawn by using the Maple 9.5. The approximate solutions have advantages of simplicity, practicality, and higher accuracy, which is of practical value in calculating nonlinear oscillations.

Based on the strict and delicate analogue relation between the magnetic moment of a rotating charged bodies and moment of inertia of rigid bodies, a new concept of charge moment tensor Ⅰ which is different from the existent electric multipole moment is introduced. And by means of eigenvalue equation of tensor Ⅰ, the concept of principal axes and principal-axis scalar charge moment are constructed, and further the scalar charge moment of a charged body and the magnetic moment of a rotating charged body around an arbitrary direction are attained.

The hyperchaotic systems Kawakami map is synchronized completely using parametric adaptive control algorithm. After a rigorous mathematical deriving, a sufficient condition of the single-parameter adaptive control can be drawn for the synchronization of Kawakami map, and the synchronization is also found in double- parameter adaptive control. The simulation results show that the output signal of this map is similar to the spectrum of white noise, so it can he used in secret communication.

The moving of a wave packet in one-dimensional monatomic lattice and that in a string are analyzed. The profiles of the wave packet at different times are calculated and presented for both the systems. In onedimensional monatomic lattice, the profile of the wave packet is changing all the time. But in a string, the profile is unchanging and moving with a definite speed. The reason for the difference is that the two systems have different dispersion law. The dispersion law of the lattice vibration is nonlinear, whereas that of the string vibration is linear.
