摘要: 以2014年美国大学生数学建模竞赛(MCM/ICM)为例,介绍该竞赛的由来以及对于物理学系学生的参与意义,详细阐述和讨论了2014年交叉学科建模竞赛(ICM)的题目及解题思路,展现了物理视角在数学建模中的优势.

Abstract: By taking our experience of participation in the interdisciplinary contest in modeling (ICM) 2014 as an example, we introduce the contest and show the benefits of participation in it for a student in department of phys- ics. We describe the problem of ICM 2014 and the method to solve it in detail. In this way,we prove the advantage of thinking in a physics way in mathematical modeling.
